Rail services in the Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland (UK) are clean, efficient and more reliable than bus services, you will also be treated to views unseen on the roads (though you will notice the price difference). The inter-city trains tend offer more seating with toilets onboard whereas shorter distance routes offer cars with less seats and plenty of standing room to cater to large volumes of passengers during peak times.

Northern Ireland Railways is operated by Translink, the Enterprise rail service running between Dublin and Belfast leaves from Dublin's Connolly Station and arrives in to Belfast's Central Station.
